Digital Camera Memory Cards

What to look for when buying memory cards for digital cameras?

There are quite a few flavours of memory cards available. Compact Flash Card (CF), Secure Digital Card (SD, SDHC, miniSD, microSD) and Memory Stick, to name a few. Consult your camera manual to find out which card suits your digital camera. Now, speed and size are two important things to consider but the main thing is to not buy the cheapest ones! Why? Because they will, more often than not, become unreadable after a while and you don't want that to happen, right?
Speed is usually found in the Class statement and for shooting sequences and video you should go for at least Class 4. The bigger, the better? Well you will fit in more shots on bigger cards but remember the bigger the card the more shots you loose if the card breaks in some way, so do always remember to transfer your shots to your computer.
